ON MEDICAL TERMS IN THE BOOKS OF ALISHER NAVAI

This article examines medical terminology found in the works Khamsat ul-Mutahayyirin, Holoti Sayyid Hasan Ardasher, and Holoti Pahlavon Muhammad by Alisher Navoi from linguistic, historical, and scientific perspectives. The study analyzes the semantic characteristics of medical terms used in manqib texts, their sources, and their relationship with medieval Eastern medicine. Special attention is given to the identification of native and borrowed lexical layers within the medical vocabulary. The etymology of key medical terms is also explored, highlighting their formation and development in the context of historical medical discourse.
