TWO MADMEN IN THE DESERT OF LOVE

This study discusses the essence and artistic function of the images of the madman, devona, and madwoman in classical literature and our national literature. In the works of Alisher Navoi: the image ofthe madman in his ghazals and the epic poem “Layli and Majnun”, the mental state of Otabek in the novel “Bygone Days” by Abdulla Qodiriy is subjected to comparative analysis.
