Аннотация

The theses examines the possibilities of increasing the efficiency and sustainability of desert-rangeland livestock farming through the integration of modern innovative technologies. In the context of climate change, land degradation, and limited water resources in arid zones of Central Asia, particularly Uzbekistan, the application of precision livestock farming (PLF), Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, drones, geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, artificial intelligence (AI), and biotechnological approaches is analyzed. These technologies enable real-time monitoring of rangeland conditions and animal health, optimization of grazing loads, early disease detection, and the creation of adaptive management models. The integration of rotational grazing systems, virtual fencing, biomass assessment via UAVs, and the development of drought-resistant forage crops and heat-tolerant livestock breeds contributes to higher productivity, reduced environmental impact, and enhanced ecological resilience. The study highlights that comprehensive digitalization and biotechnological innovations can transform traditional extensive livestock systems into sustainable, high-tech models that ensure food security while preserving natural resources for future generations.
