A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF DIGITALIZATION IN PRIMARY EDUCATION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND THE UNITED STATES: QUALITY, CHALLENGES, AND PEDAGOGICAL INNOVATIONS
Аннотация
This comparative study examines digitalization in primary education in the United Kingdom and the United States, focusing on educational quality, implementation challenges, and pedagogical innovations. Findings suggest that both countries have integrated digital technologies to enhance instructional practices, support individualized learning, and improve engagement. However, disparities in infrastructure, teacher training, and policy frameworks influence effectiveness and equity. In the UK, strategic national frameworks such as the Self‑review Framework support systematic technology adoption, whereas in the US, connectivity initiatives like ConnectEd aim to expand broadband access for schools to reduce the digital divide. The study highlights that innovations such as blended learning, adaptive platforms, and digital literacy programs contribute to pedagogical advancement. Despite progress, persistent challenges require sustained investment, targeted professional development, and inclusive policies to ensure equitable access to high‑quality digital education in primary settings.
