ANALYTICAL BASIS OF USER BIOMETRIC IDENTIFICATION AND AUTHENTIFICATION SYSTEMS

This article examines a modern method of ensuring information security - biometric authentication systems. The disadvantages of systems based on traditional passwords and secret keys were analyzed, and the advantages of using human physiological and behavioral parameters instead of them were highlighted. The article comparatively examines the technical capabilities and application areas of biometric technologies such as fingerprints, facial structure, voice, and retina.
