Аннотация

This article analyzes the clinical course of meningoencephalitis in children, laboratory diagnostic features of neurological symptoms and complications, as well as modern approaches used to assess the severity of the disease. Meningoencephalitis is one of the most severe infectious-inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system in adults and children, the course of which depends on the etiological factor, the patient's age, immune response and the timing of diagnosis. In this case, general infectious processes and neurological symptoms characteristic of damage to the brain and its membranes are observed. In the practice of a doctor, blood tests, serological and molecular methods, cerebrospinal fluid examination, as well as the determination of neurospecific proteins such as S100, GFAP, NSE are important in laboratory diagnostics. A review of several literatures shows that for early detection of meningoencephalitis in children, a complex clinical and laboratory approach is necessary to clarify the etiological diagnosis and predict the consequences of the disease.
