Assessment of Heart Rate Variability with COPD Associated with Pulmonary and Arterial Hypertension

The work analyzed the heart rate variability of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with arterial and pulmonary hypertension. The degree of COPD and the determination of disease stages were carried out according to the GOLD recommendations (2011–2019), the severity of dyspnea was assessed using the Modified Medical Research Council Dyspnea Scale (mMRC). The study of heart rate variability (HRV) was carried out using a computer complex with registration of a five-minute ECG recording, with interpretation of the results of temporal and spectral analysis of HRV based on the recommendations of the European Society of Cardiology and the North American Society of Cardiopacing and Electrophysiology (ESC/NASPE, 1996).
