The Role of Tourist Objects in Tourism Development
Аннотация
Tourist objects—including natural wonders, cultural heritage, religious sites, urban landmarks, and experiential attractions—are central cogs in tourism development. This study synthesizes how these objects attract visitors, stimulate local economies, and shape social and environmental outcomes. Through a mixed-methods approach, we examine the economic multipliers, employment effects, and investment in interpretation, while also exploring governance, equity, and conservation challenges. Findings indicate that well-managed objects foster sustainable growth when coupled with community participation, authentic storytelling, and capacity-aware visitor management. The results offer practical implications for destinations seeking balanced development, heritage preservation, and resilient tourism systems.
