Methodological Opportunities for Using Historical Sources in An Interactive Educational Environment

This academic article provides a systematic analysis of the methodological opportunities for utilizing historical sources within an interactive educational environment. The study illuminates the didactic potential of historical sources, their classifications, and the mechanisms for their application in the educational process. It substantiates that using written, material, oral, and visual sources in lessons organized around an interactive approach develops students' critical thinking, historical reasoning, and independent research skills. Furthermore, the article scientifically explains how the effectiveness of the educational process can be enhanced by integrating modern pedagogical methods—such as debates, role-playing, case studies, and project-based learning—with historical sources. The research findings indicate that an interactive educational environment stimulates student learning activities by introducing innovative approaches to history education, thereby shaping them into independent thinkers and analysts.
