LEGAL MECHANISMS FOR PROTECTING MEDICAL INFORMATION IN THE DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT

This publication focuses on ensuring the security of medical information in the context of the rapid digital transformation of the healthcare sector. Significant attention is given to comparing international regulations, particularly the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and World Health Organization guidelines, with the current legislative framework of the Republic of Uzbekistan. A study is conducted of the provisions contained in the amended Constitution, the Law on Personal Data, and sectoral regulations of the Ministry of Health. The application of organizational and legal measures to protect medical confidentiality in the use of telemedicine solutions and electronic medical records is analyzed.
