The article focuses on the development of the short story genre between 2013 and 2023. It provides a detailed analysis of the stories “Mal qora” (Cattle Shed), “Jirtiq etik” (Torn Boots), and “Moyınlaw” (Confession) from the collection “Karakalpak Song” by the well-known scholar and writer A. Abdiev.
