Аннотация

This article discusses in detail the theoretical foundations, mechanism of operation, and scientific and practical significance of the infrared spectroscopy method. Infrared spectroscopy allows us to study the vibrational and deformational oscillations of chemical bonds in molecules, based on the absorption properties of substances in the infrared range of electromagnetic radiation. This method allows us to determine the functional groups in organic and inorganic compounds, analyze the molecular structure, assess the qualitative and quantitative composition of substances, and monitor chemical processes. The infrared spectrum has a unique “fingerprint” for each substance, which is of great importance in detecting and identifying unknown substances.
