Bilingualism is a complex cognitive, linguistic, and pedagogical phenomenon that has gained increasing importance in the context of globalization and educational reform. This article explores the psychological mechanisms underlying bilingual competence, as well as pedagogical strategies for its effective development in educational settings. Particular attention is given to cognitive advantages, language interference, and communicative teaching approaches. The study emphasizes the necessity of integrating psychological understanding with pedagogical practice in bilingual education.
