This article explores mourning ceremonies and the cultural symbolism of color, especially black, among Turkic peoples and other world cultures. It examines how customs and rituals function as a cultural heritage transmitted across generations and highlights the religious, social, and emotional dimensions of mourning practices. The study also analyzes linguistic expressions, regional variations, and symbolic behaviors such as clothing traditions, gestures, and condolence formulas. Special attention is given to the role of black as a symbol of death, grief, and power in different cultural contexts.
