This article examines the pedagogical possibilities of the fairy tale in the process of forming the social behavior of preschool children. The features of moral education for preschoolers are highlighted through artistic images, game situations, and the plot content of fairy tales. The influence of folk and author's fairy tales on the development of communication skills, emotional responsiveness, behavior culture, and the ability to interact with peers and adults is analyzed. The article also explores methods for the effective use of fairy tales in the educational process of a preschool organization.
