THE SEARCH FOR IDENTITY IN THE NOVELS OF SAUL BELLOW

The following article reveals the search of identity appeared in the world literature at the beginning of the XX century. The article investigates the peculiarities for author’s vision of the identity, the influence of socio-political events on the transformation of the human being. The creations of the author are discussed, the principles of realistic literature are considered, the research of inner identity is explained.
