THE INFLUENCE OF PROJECT-BASED LEARNING ON STUDENTS' ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AND ENGAGEMENT
Аннотация
In recent decades, educational institutions worldwide have increasingly sought instructional approaches that extend beyond passive knowledge transmission. Project-based learning (PBL) has emerged as a prominent pedagogical model in which students acquire knowledge and competencies by working collaboratively on authentic, real-world problems over an extended period. Unlike traditional teacher-centred instruction, PBL positions students as active constructors of knowledge, requiring them to apply critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills throughout the learning process. Despite growing interest in PBL, its measurable impact on academic performance and student engagement remains a subject of ongoing scholarly debate.
