Аннотация

The rapid implementation of Artificial Intelligence in the healthcare sector, financial sector and social governance has resulted in an unprecedented intersection between technological utility and fundamental human rights. This essay explores the ethical issues of AI with particular attention to the risks of eroding individual privacy, as well as the chances of mass human rights abuses through algorithmic bias and mass surveillance. By 2026, the shift towards agentic systems and the elimination of experimental AI has heightened the awareness of the risks associated with black-box decision-making and the exploitation of data. This research, based on a qualitative research technique and relying on the theoretical framework that is human-centric, will analyze the current regulatory situation, including the full enforcement of the EU AI Act and updated global ethical guidelines. The results show that, on the one hand, AI presents the opportunity to protect personal information with the help of robust privacy protection tools based on federated learning; on the other hand, AI also introduces inference risks when non-sensitive information is used to predict the privacy-protected personal characteristics. Findings indicate that there is a strong relationship between the lack of transparency in algorithmic training and the marginalization of vulnerable groups. This study finds that a Trusted AI philosophy, which incorporates privacy-by-design and a requirement of human control, is necessary to protect democratic principles and ensure citizen trust. The paper gives practical suggestions to policy-makers and developers to overcome the distance between technical innovation and ethical compliance. By making digital sovereignty and algorithmic responsibility a priority, the stakeholders will be able to minimize the risks of automated discrimination and enjoy the benefits of intelligent systems. This kind of insight is the guide towards making the digital transformation remain aligned with in accordance with the universal human rights principles.
