Аннотация

The development of critical thinking has become one of the primary objectives of modern education, particularly in primary school settings where foundational cognitive skills are formed. Critical thinking enables learners to analyze information, evaluate evidence, solve problems, make informed decisions, and express independent opinions. This article examines the pedagogical opportunities for developing critical thinking in primary education through innovative teaching methods, learner-centered approaches, collaborative learning environments, and educational technologies. Using qualitative analysis of pedagogical and psychological literature, the study explores theoretical foundations and practical strategies for fostering critical thinking among young learners. Particular attention is given to inquiry-based learning, problem-solving activities, interactive methods, and digital educational resources. The findings indicate that systematic integration of critical thinking strategies into primary education enhances students’ cognitive development, creativity, independence, and academic achievement. The article concludes that effective pedagogical conditions and innovative instructional approaches significantly contribute to the formation of critical thinkers capable of adapting to the demands of contemporary society.
