Аннотация

This article explores the effectiveness of creative monologue tasks in teaching English speaking skills to lyceum students. Speaking is one of the most challenging aspects of foreign language learning because students often experience anxiety, limited vocabulary, and lack of confidence during oral communication. Creative monologue activities such as storytelling, role-based speeches, opinion sharing, and imaginative presentations provide learners with opportunities to develop fluency, pronunciation, and critical thinking skills in an interactive environment. The study examines modern communicative approaches and classroom techniques that encourage active student participation. The article also discusses the role of digital technologies and peer interaction in improving speaking competence. The findings demonstrate that creative monologue tasks increase learners’ motivation, confidence, and ability to communicate effectively in English.
