Аннотация

The legacy of agricultural practices from the Soviet era in Central Asia has led to severe environmental degradation through contamination with organochlorine pesticide residues, a drastic reduction in surface water, and the near-complete drying up of the Aral Sea. Despite the increase in diseases in the region, studies investigating the factors that pose a threat to human health are scarce. This research is aimed at solving environmental problems in the Aral Sea region, which is one of the most socio-economically and environmentally affected areas. In the course of the research, the photocatalytic degradation of pesticides within contaminated soil compositions using synthesized materials was studied.
