Аннотация

This article comparatively analyzes newspaper headlines in English and Karakalpak languages from structural, stylistic, and pragmatic perspectives. The study investigates communicative functions, lexical features, grammatical structures, and expressive means used in headlines. The results show that English headlines are usually shorter and grammatically compressed, while Karakalpak headlines are more emotional and culturally expressive. Furthermore, the research reveals that national mentality and cultural values strongly influence headline formation in both languages.
