METHODOLOGY FOR IMPROVING MODERN METHODS OF COMPETENCE ASSESSMENT IN NATURAL SCIENCE LESSONS

This article analyzes the methodology for improving modern methods of assessing pupils’ competencies in natural science lessons in connection with artificial intelligence technologies. Natural science education serves to develop pupils’ competencies in observation, experimentation, drawing conclusions based on evidence, ecological responsibility, scientific thinking, and solving practical problems. Therefore, the assessment process should not be limited only to tests or control questions, but should also cover pupils’ practical activities, interpretation of experimental results, approaches to problem situations, project work, and independent conclusions. Artificial intelligence helps improve individual assessment, rapid feedback, adaptive tasks, electronic portfolios, competency maps, and analytical monitoring systems in this process. The article also substantiates the opportunities of AI, along with its risks, the necessity of pedagogical supervision, and the preservation of the human factor in assessment.
