This scientific article provides a comprehensive analysis of the motivation level, formation mechanisms, and psychological determinants of students' learning activities in the modern higher education system. The relevance of the research is explained by the fact that today, in improving the quality of specialist training, not only intellectual potential but also internal aspirations and volitional qualities of the individual are gaining priority. The article highlights the hierarchical structure of motivation, the ratio of external and internal motivational factors, as well as the specific psychophysiological characteristics of the student period. Also, the role of communicative dialogue between teacher and student in stabilizing learning motivation in students, innovative approaches in organizing the educational process, and issues of forming a student's need for personal achievements are analyzed on the basis of scientific evidence. At the end of the article, psychological recommendations and practical suggestions aimed at increasing student motivation were developed. Analyzes show that motivation is not only an interest in learning, but also an integral part of an individual's professional development and self-realization process.
