We present the observation of the first decay event of the new nuclide ${}^{292}116$ in the running experiment on the synthesis of $Z=116$ nuclei in the reaction ${}^{248}\mathrm{Cm}{+}^{48}\mathrm{Ca}.$ The experiment is in progress at FLNR, JINR, Dubna.
