Photometry of BL Lacertae with a Time Resolution of 15 Seconds

New photometric observations of the strange object BL Lac = VRO 42.22.01 are reported with the following results: (1) The brightness of BL Lac fluctuates by 0.1 mag over a few hours. (2) Flickers of amplitudes AV 0.03 mag and durations as short as At = 2 min are detected. (3) The (B - V) and (U - B) colors of BL Lac become redder with decreasing brightness. Similarities between BL Lac, N-type galaxies, and Seyfert nuclei are mentioned.
