In the practical operation of electric power systems, abnormal regimes are inevitable, such as non-sinusoidal and unsymmetrical modes of operation. At present, a large percentage of electric energy consumers having nonlinear voltampere characteristics, which worsen the power quality. The most common nonlinear elements are rectifier devices, electric traction, and others. In this paper, the results of modeling the higher harmonics of current in the electric power systems of the Republic of Tajikistan are presented. The developed model makes it possible to calculate the dynamic variation of the higher harmonic currents in electric power systems, which allows estimating the effect of a nonlinear load of the electrical equipment in the electric power stations under different combinations of changes in the share of consumers with a nonlinear current-voltage characteristic. The characteristic of the distribution of the current nonsinusoidality ratio (K) in the power system is analyzed.
