Аннотация

In this paper, the salp swarm algorithm (SSA) is introduced as an efficient and recent optimization technique, to solve the radial distribution network reconfiguration problem optimally for reducing the total active power losses. SSA mimics and models the collective behavior of salps in the oceans when searching the food source. The developed algorithm is applied and tested by using the standard IEEE 33-bus radial distribution system. The optimization algorithm is easily and simple to be implemented. Simulation results prove that the developed algorithm outperforms the other global optimization algorithms as particle swarm optimization technique (PSO), selective particle swarm optimization algorithm (SPSO), genetic algorithm (GA), enhanced genetic algorithm (EGA), modified tabu search algorithm (MTS).
