Development of pole-changing windings for two-speed motors of hoisting-transport mechanisms

In the article, based on the analysis of the operating modes of lifting and transport mechanisms from the point of view of the rational use of electricity and resources, the expediency of improving their system of electric drives by creating two-speed motors with pole-changing windings is substantiated. Also presented is the method of "Discretely- given spatial functions" for constructing a pole-changing winding, which is based on the principle of joint consideration of current distributions of two conventional windings, expressed as a discretely given spatial function. On the basis of this method, a pole- changing winding was obtained with a pole ratio of 1/5 with 30 stator slots. Based on the analysis of the electromagnetic properties of the resulting winding, the optimal step has been identified.
