A g-C<sub>3</sub>N<sub>4</sub>/Bi<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>CO<sub>3</sub> layered heterojunction nanocomposite exhibits more effective separation of photogenerated electron–hole pairs and a stable chemical structure, thus showing higher photocatalytic activity and stability.
