Аннотация

The ultrasonic absorption coefficient α has been measured in a critical binary mixture of nitrobenzene/n-hexane over the ultrasonic frequency f of 0.2–3 MHz. The temperature dependence of α/ f 2 in a binary mixture is remarkably larger at low frequency than that at high frequency. Frequency dependence of critical absorption at critical temperature T c has been measured and discussed by the theory of Ferrell and Bhattacharjee (FB). The absorption relative to critical absorption at T c has been plotted as a function of the reduced frequency and also compared with the scaling function by the theory of FB.
