Possible mechanism of temperature stabilization of a sun air heater using three-layer composite film with cascade spectrum conversion
Аннотация
A cascade convertor of solar radiation has been developed on the basis of a 100-μm polythene film and functional ceramics. It has been demonstrated that its application for a solar air heater significantly increases air temperature in comparison with regular polythene film due to conversion of a portion of the visible and UV range usually not involved in photosynthesis into IR radiation. The dependency of temperature variation has been studied in a chamber with various film-polymer composites with various polymer-to-ceramics percent ratios. The maximum transmission of the visible-spectrum range is detected in the range of 620–720 nm, which facilitates not only efficient photosynthesis of plants, but also activates phytochrome, thus promoting growth and evolution of plants. The study has demonstrated that this composite is characterized to some extent by the ability to stabilize temperature, which can be applied not only in greenhouses, but also in situations in which high overheating is not desirable during high solar radiation.
