Heat transport phenomenon in the ferromagnetic fluid over a stretching sheet with thermal stratification
Аннотация
• This paper analyzed heat transfer of ferromagnetic fluids over a stretched surface. • The effects of fluid magnetization and magnetic dipole are considered. • Variation of Nusselt number and skin fraction is analyzed using graphs and tables. • Characteristics of heat transfer are explored in the presence of thermal stratification. This article characterizes the impacts of a magnetic dipole in a second grade ferrofluid induced by linear stretching sheet. The analysis is disclosed by thermally stratified phenomenon and stagnation point. The characteristic of magneto-thermomechanical coupling is scrutinized analytically. It is distinguished that thermal stratification has significant impacts in controlling the rate of heat transfer inside the boundary layer. Further, the effects of magneto-thermomechanical interaction decelerate the motion of the fluid as compared to the hydrodynamic case, thereby enhancing the skin friction and decreasing the heat transfer rate at the surface. Comparison with available results for particular cases is determined a superb agreement.
