Computational Intelligence Transforming Healthcare 4.0: Innovations in Medical Image Analysis through AI and IoT Integration

Modern healthcare system is rapidly evolving, and the key drivers of this process include Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). This paper also aims to understand the vast role that they play in today’s advanced heath care systems. AI lends itself to an enhanced role of functioning as an assistant, in a way it can perform the duties of a medical practitioner, however, its key strength is the ability to process of huge data and then interpreting it. And this has helped in improved diagnostic work and more accurate patient evaluation. While, IoT establishes connection between medical instruments, computers and various gadgets making the task easy by sharing data of patients with each other in real time. Yet, the introduction of the blend of AI and IoT needs to response to question that has to do with privacy, security, or equity. AI is also used in healthcare operations including administration functions like billing, outpatient appointment scheduling and identification of patients as well as creating treatment plans based on one’s genetic makeup among others. Even though the such technologies have the potential of producing high results, challenges surrounding the ethical use of these technologies as well as patient data must be undertaken in order to ensure that patient rights are protected while technological advances continue to be innovated. Last but not the least, both AI and IoT are transforming the way healthcare is delivered and this paper discusses about how it is done, the problems associated with such methodologies and how the future of healthcare might look like.
