Аннотация

Within the framework of the relaxation time approximation we have computed two components of the friction coefficient for various single-particle potentials and have found that the nondiagonal component of the friction coefficient depends generally on the diffuseness of the potential. The diagonal component of friction, which is related to the two-body dissipation mechanism, was found to be unreasonably large in these computations, especially for small temperatures. \textcopyright{} 1996 The American Physical Society.
