Аннотация
Photoelectric light curves were used to determine the period of rotation, obtain the estimates of shape and pole orientation, and define the phase relation, or brightness as a function of solar phase angle, of asteroids. Methods for taking and reducing observations are described, with particular consideration given to the correction for atmospheric extinction, the use of Fourier analysis in constructing composite light curves, and the analysis of errors. Also discussed are computer programs that solve two principal problems: the determination of the time-variable extinction function for a night and the constuction of composite light curves.
