The cross sections for electric dipole photodisintegration of ${\mathrm{H}}^{3}$ and ${\mathrm{He}}^{3}$ at low energies are expressed in terms of the effective range parameters of the doublet $n\ensuremath{-}d$ scattering matrix. Agreement with the experimental results is possible for either set of $n\ensuremath{-}d$ scattering lengths.
