SUMMARY Sapstain in standing pine burnt in March 19 u occurred within three months of the fire, but did not become a major problem until October 1965. Decay was not found in the sample plots. The extent of fungal attack was related to weather conditions; and an estimate is given of safe storage times for salvage perations. Post-fire fauna and flora were studied on the sample plots.
