Stability of Stochastic Elastic and Viscoelastic Systems

On examples of elastic and viscoelastic systems it is shown that unstable deterministic parametric systems can be stabilized by the addition of a random noise to the deterministic parametric load. The noise is assumed in the form of a Gaussian stationary process with an implicit periodicity. The almost sure stability and stability with respect to statistical moments of the first and second-order is considered. The analysis is built on the basis of the calculation of the top Liapunov exponent.
