Аннотация

The surfaces of carbide tools made of VK8 and H13A (Sandvik Coromant) alloys covered with an NbHfTi alloy layer deposited by magnetron sputtering is modified by electron beam treatment. This yields an interlayer with concentrations of the alloying elements that gradually vary with its depth. A gradient wearresistant (TiAl)N coating is deposited on this interlayer. Results of studying this composite using X-ray structural analysis are presented. The results of comparative mechanical tests that show the potential of the proposed treatment method are considered.
