Particle Motion on the Slide Wall in Rotor Spinning
Аннотация
A mathematical treatment to describe the movement of particles on the slide wall of a rotor-spinning machine is given. The general solution to the differential equations of motion of such a particle is derived and the special case pertaining when the particle movement begins at time t = 0 then examined. From the general equations, an expression for the slide time of the particle can be derived and is used, with typical values, to provide sample slide times in practical cases. Uses of the treatment in providing information about lubricant distribution and trash accumulation, with consequent damage, are suggested, as also is an application of the principles to practical yarn production and quality factors.
