Formalization of the Task of Building a Cloud-Data Center Based on a Software-Defined Network

In work on the basis of the system approach, the optimization task of determining the structure and placement of cloud resources of a data center with a distributed structure is formalized. When setting the optimization task, the parameters of physical computer systems, the structural parameters characterizing the topology of the transport network, the methods of formation and location of cloud servers, the parameters of the data storage facilities and the characteristics of information resources, as well as the parameters of the dislocation of the data processing systems are considered given. As a criterion, the profit received as a result of the functioning of the center with the formed version of the structure, which is a function of four variables, is taken. Because the problem cannot be solved within the framework of a mathematical model, a step-by-step solution procedure is proposed that allows one to move from a large-dimensional problem to a sequence of smaller-dimensional problems. In this case, the solution of problems at the level of individual stages, assumes a single criterion for the entire network and the solution of individual subtasks at each step of optimization.
