Аннотация
The influence of a single pseudoparticle on the electromagnetic current correlation function is calculated. Zero modes of the (massless) fermionic fields which build up the correlation function play an important role in assuring conservation of the electromagnetic current. The long-distance behavior of the correlation function has the form characteristic of massive fermion fields. This provides an expression for the mass shift induced by pseudoparticle interactions and confirms a result obtained by other (approximate) methods.
