Аннотация

This article presents a review of several research works on polypropylene/clay nanocomposites. In this study, we investigate the influence of preparation and treatment parameters of polypropylene/clay nanocomposite on the resulting thermomechanical properties. Compared to pure polymers and conventional composites, composites based on nanoclay particles are increasingly developed in industrial and academic fields as they promote an improvement of the starting polymers properties such as high modulus, heat resistance, gas impermeability, and biodegradability. The improvement of these properties depends on different parameters such as the content of clay and the nanoclay/polymer interaction.
