An electric drive with asynchronous electric motors is currently quite widespread due to its operational reliability and sufficiently high energy characteristics. The article proposes a way to further improve the energy characteristics of a controlled asynchronous motor by means of optimal frequency control. On the basis of a mathematical model of a generalized electric machine in fixed axes α and β, an algorithm has been developed that makes it possible to reduce electrical energy losses in the windings of an asynchronous electric drive in transient acceleration and deceleration modes. Using the maximum principle and the Newton-Raphson method, the optimal functional dependence of the frequency and amplitude of the supply voltage of an asynchronous motor on the time of the transient process is determined. As an optimization criterion, the minimum of the square of the voltage supplying the electric motor was chosen. Based on the results of the calculation, graphs of changes in currents, electromagnetic torque and angular frequency of rotation of an induction motor were obtained and analyzed under optimal control actions. Recommendations are given for the practical implementation of the proposed optimal algorithm. The area of rational use of the optimal control algorithm is determined.
