Application of the Information and Communication Technologies in the Centre for Science and Education "Ecology in Power Engineering"

The article provides brief information about additional professional education in the energy sector. Features of activity of the Centre for Science and Education "Ecology in Power Engineering" of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (hereafter – the Centre) are presented. The article contains various elements of information and communication technologies, used in the programs of training and retraining of the technical staff of power companies and industries, studying at the Centre in the fields "Heat Power Engineering and Heat Engineering" and "Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering". It also describes the Information System "The Best Available and Perspective Nature Protection Technologies in the Russian Power Industry" containing information on all the aspects of environmental protection in the energy sector used as the information tool during the teaching process.
