By using the equal-time commutation relations of the chiral $\mathrm{SU}(3)\ensuremath{\bigotimes}\mathrm{SU}(3)$ current algebra and the notion of partially conserved axial-vector current, decay widths of the $\ensuremath{\rho}$ and ${K}^{*}$ mesons are calculated and compared with experiment.
