The time modulation of neutrons diffracted by two vibrating nearly perfect quartz single crystals in a double-crystal (1, − 1) arrangement was investigated while both single crystals were excited in the same resonance frequency. Neutron pulses were observed in the time modulation when the crystals vibrated with different amplitudes. A new simple method for producing a pulsed monochromatic neutron beam supported by the first experimental results is presented. [Russian Text Ignored].
