Comments on Two Recent Papers on Solid<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mrow><mml:mi mathvariant="normal">H</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mn>2</mml:mn></mml:mrow></mml:msub></mml:mrow></mml:math>

The statistical method used to obtain the equilibrium distribution of the ortho-${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$ molecular configurations in a solid ortho-para-${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$ solution is described. A mistake made in the derivation quoted in two previous papers from this laboratory is corrected. A tabulation of the respective abundances of the ortho-${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$ molecular configurations (isolated single molecules, pairs, and triangles) as a function of temperature for an ortho concentration $c=0.01$ is presented.
