Аннотация

The strain rate ϵ and the flow stress σ are recorded with a time resolution of about 1 μs during a load jump in niobium single crystals at 4.2 K. High-frequency oscillations in ϵ and σ are revealed and the maximum shear strain rates are estimated to be γmax ≈ (1 to 2) × 104 s−1. The specific features of the analysis of high-velocity processes during active deformation are noted. The process of jump-like deformation is considered taking into account its high-velocity character. The principal dynamic properties of the sample-machine system are formulated.
